HI - I am an Englishwoman in Ireland. I LOVE my Berninas and have two at the moment, my trusty 180 and a new 630 which I only bought in February.
I found this forum as I never managed to afford designer software with my 180 (which is 10 now) and I would liek to make sure I GET SOMETHING to let me digitise with this new machine....
I have been reading on here and am interested in the Explorations software. Does it digitise? I looked on the Embroidery Online site, but - maybe its late and my brain isn't functioning! I cant work out whether it does or not!
ANYWAY
About my work - well I sew at home for a living - a very broad spectrum of jobs - My Bernina takles all of them - from curtains and soft furnishings to embroidery and quilting, alterations and some very bizzare reapair jobs too!!
Looking forward to spending time with fellow Bernina fans!

Explorations is not a digitizing program. You need Designer Plus for the best digitizing program. Editor Plus is a lesser version of Designer but not sure what the limitations are on that.
Go to this page and look at the .pdf brochure on the software. It explains the differences.

If you want to do your ovn digitzing you take designer plus, whit the other program you cant make your own embroeideryes, just those who are in et, as far as i have seen.

Welcome. Designer Plus is the only Bernina software that will allow you to digitize while their other softwares allow editing.
If the 180 uses .EXP format, you could possibly use less expensive brands like Embird.

Do you find a lot of differences sewing on the 630 than on the 180?
