Just curious if we would end up with our current selection or move to something different and why.

You'll roll your eyes but I might go the the mechanical commercial Bernina.........but I am unsure if you can lower the feed dogs, which I would need.

Dream machine for me? Mechanical Bernina like the 1008.....with a large harp area and commercial motor and big bobbin........table set up can be like the commerial...maybe a little bigger...with 4" edging on 3 sides so larger objects dont' fall off the table.

think it will ever happen? I KNOW these would sell.

I'd get a Gammill! I need to quilt all the tops I have made with my Bernina's. :D

There's no way I could only have one machine even if it were the 830. I couldn't do without a serger, cover stitch or blind hemmer. I know, many years ago I only had a sewing machine, but times have changed. Back then I didn't have a computer, a cell phone, a dish washer, a key fob to unlock my car doors, the list could go on and on of things I wouldn't want to give up.

Laughing here, because our car is totally manual, including roll-up windows. I don't have a microwave or serger, and don't use a cell phone - sort of a neo-Luddite, I suppose! But I do love my computerized Bernina. I would stick with the six series, because I prefer the 5.5 mm stitch, and I certainly don't have room for the eight series. Mechanical machines are great, but don't think I could give up the mirror image and other features.

Oh Latifolia, you have to be fairly progressive--you have a computer and you are on our forum. :)

My mother has no sewing machines, but she also is the only person I know who does not have a computer, a microwave or a cell phone. We had to work very hard to get her to accept a DVD player--she just couldn't see why she had to give up her VCR! That DVD player is the most computerized thing she owns.

I can't vote, because my one machine would be my 1130, even though I really do like my 730E.

Forgot mechanical totally. Gonna redo this with mechanical in. Seems to be a popular choice!
