I got an 1150 last month, too. I bought a serger techniques book with it because I think the manual that comes with the machine is worthless. I know what you mean about figuring out how it works. Sergers are all similar, but I have learned a lot getting used to this one. I am very happy with it, though. I love the dress--did you flatlock that?

Yes i flatlock the dress. I think it is a god machine, and i am still leaning, it is different to use a serger when i always have used a sewing mashine

Kirsten, Your garments are very nice. Thank you for sharing the photos. As you learn more about your serger, and become more comfortable with it, you will wonder how you ever sewed without it. There are other ways to utilize it that I have enjoyed!
