I bought mine over two years ago, got it on sale for $1,200 + sales tax. The heel/toe tap pedal was extra. The pedal from my 730E would work fine on the 350, but I wanted them to each have their own, since sometimes I have both machines set up.

Thank you for the information. I have been reading about the 3 series and have got that new machine bug! At home I usually sew on my 780E or my 630E. Wouldn't even consider lugging the 780 out to a class and I just don't want to unload my 630E from the Horn cabinet and the Janome AQS2009-same as Gem 720, doesn't have as many features as I'd like in workshops. I bought it because it was so light and it does sew very well, just not as many features to it. So I am seriously looking to sell it and buy either the 350 or 380. Still trying to decide...

Sew Lucky - I had a Janome Jem Platinum 760 that I loved for classes, sit-n-sew, etc. Like you, it didn't have some features I wanted, so I sold it to help pay for my 350. There are times I still miss that little Jem and its 12-lb lightness and smaller size, but I really like the 350 because of the extra features. And it's not as heavy as my 1130 or 730E.

Well I bought the 350PE yesterday! I have been exploring the stitches today and trying to get used to the crazy needle down… It sews like a Bernina and just feels right!I Hoping this one will be a keeper.
Still need to figures out where or how to sell my Janome 12 lb machine. Any ideas?

Congratulations on the new machine!

I advertised Jem Platinum 760 through my quilt guild and my ASG chapter. A fellow ASG member snapped it up.

Yes, I will put an ad in my quilt guild newsletter and see if anyone is interested. Luckily, it doesn't take up much room until I can find it a new home. :)

I just sold my Brother Quattro on kijiji, so that may be worth a try too. I wasn't initially crazy about the idea, but my dealer, who handles both Bernina and Brother, offered their store as a meeting place for me to meet with prospective buyers. Especially with such a big ticket item, this made it more secure for both buyer and seller. Worked out perfectly! First person who looked at it bought it, and I now have the new Brother Dream Machine!
