Satin stitches

Postby Micki » Fri Jul 22, 2016 2:58 pm

I have a Bernina 770 QE. When using the default setting for satin stitches, there a gaps between the threads. Yes, I can shorten the stitch length but then that alters the overall stitch pattern? How can I increase the stitch density without altering the stitch pattern?

If there are gaps between the satin stitches, I think I would shorten the stitch width. You want the stitches to be closer together--you don't want the stitches to be shorter.

Play around with different settings for length and width to see what you like best--then make a note of that for the future.

Would using a slightly thicker thread help?
Just the one Bernina so far : a 550QE but now replaced with a 770QE.
